| The influence of emotions and global-local processing on creative thinking |

Abstract The present study used experiment to explore the influence of emotions and global-local processing on divergent and convergent thinking of creative thinking. The experiment used three video-clips to induce happy, sad and angry emotions, adopted an adapted Navon-letter task to elicit global/ local processing mode. Then, the participants were asked to complete the alternative use tasks （AUT） and Chinese remote associate task （CRAT） of the creative thinking. The results showed that： （1） Global processing with happy emotion and angry emotion could significantly promote divergent thinking compared with sad emotion; However, in the local processing mode, there were no significant differences in divergent thinking among three emotions; （2） Global processing mode with happy emotion could significantly promote divergent thinking compared with sad emotion and angry emotion; However, in the local processing mode, there were no significant differences in convergent thinking among three emotions.
