Abstract The people of Foochow played an irreplaceable role in the “Western Learning, Eastern Gradualism” movement. The contributions of the people of Foochow to Chinese psychology are worthy of the expectations of the nation and are also deserving of the era and history. Currently, the only academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in the field of psychology is from Foochow; The first director of the Institute of Psychology at the Academia Sinica was from Foochow; The first president of the Chinese Society of Social Psychology was from Fuzhou…… This article introduced nine psychologists from Fuzhou in chronological order by their birth years： TANG Yueh （1891）, HUANG Jue-min （1896）, GAO Han （1903）, LIU Jing-he （1911）, LIU Yung-Huo （1913）, LIN Chuan-Ting （1913）, CHEN Yuan-Hui （1913）, CHEN Lin （1945）, and GE Xiao-jia （1954）. It is hoped that this will enable the Chinese people to understand the cultural genes of those in Foochow who “study psychology”, as well as the inherent "inclusive and open-minded" attitude that they carry in their hearts, which benefits both the nation and the world.
