Abstract Facing the increasingly grave environmental crisis, how to encourage individuals participating in pro-environmental activities is one of the important issues drawn interest across many domains. Across two experiments, the current research demonstrated that imbuing ownership implicit word “our” with certain place could enhance individual's pro-environmental donations. This effect occured because ownership implicit word increased the individual's psychological ownership; Such psychological ownership primed one's sense of power, which in turn leaded to increase their donation in environment protection fund.
