| The association between sibling conflicts,peer rejection and middle school students’ cyberbullying perpetration: A moderated mediation model |

Abstract To investigate the differences in the effects of sibling conflict and peer rejection on cyberbullying perpetration,also focusing on mediating role of emotion regulation difficulties and the moderating role of gender, a total of 656 middle school students were surveyed using the Cyberbullying Scale,Sibling Conflict Questionnaire,Peer Nomination Questionnaire,and Emotional Regulation Difficulties Scale. The results indicated that: 1) Sibling conflict and peer rejection negatively predicted cyberbullying behavior of junior high school students; 2) Sibling conflict had a greater impact on cyberbullying behavior than peer rejection; 3) The mediating effect of emotional regulation difficulty was significant,but the moderating effect of gender was not significant. These results revealed that the influence mechanism of different negative interpersonal relationships and emotion regulation strategies on cyberbullying behavior,which is instructive to prevent and intervene the cyberbullying behavior of middle school students.
